4Weird Twitch Emote Meaning & Origin

Last Updated on 05/19/2021 by Dean

What does the 4Weird emote mean on Twitch?

The 4Weird emote is a variant of the popular 4HEad emote that just like the 4Head emote features LoL streamer Cadburry’s face. In this version, Cadburry is doing a ‘weirded out’ face expression hence the naming, 4Weird.

The 4Weird emote is used whenever a streamer does something on stream that would weird out the audience. It can also be used when something odd happens in general. 4Weird is seen as a more extreme version of the popular WeirdChamp emote and is often used when the WeirdChamp emote just doesn’t cut it anymore.

What is the origin of the 4Weird emote on Twitch?

The origin of 4Weird goes back to the original emote 4HEad. 4HEad was uploaded to FrankerFaceZ back in 2015 by Cadburry’s community and was frequently spammed by them whenever Cadburry made a cheesy dad joke on stream.

The 4HEad emote picked up beyond Cadburry’s community and has since become a meme and 4head has become part of Twitch slang.

As most popular Twitch emotes eventually get variants, the 4Weird emote was uploaded to FrankerFaceZ by user NyroLoL in 2019.

Since its upload, the emote has been widely adopted as the universal emote used whenever one feels weirded out in a Twitch stream.

When to use 4Weird on Twitch?

If you feel extremely weirded out during a Twitch stream, spam the 4Weird emote. Sometimes, this emote is used alongside or after the WeirdChamp emote is used.

How to use the 4Weird emote on Twitch

If you want to get 4Weird on Twitch, you will have to install the FrankerFaceZ browser extension.

  1. Go to Frankerfacez.com select your browser and download the browser extension, you will then be able to see the 4Weird emote on supported Twitch channels.
  2. Alternatively, you can also go to BetterTTV.com and install this browser extension. On BetterTTV you can see FrankerFaceZ emotes as well. To enable these, head on over to chat settings on any Twitch chat and enable FrankerFaceZ emotes.

If you wish to add the 4Weird and other emotes to your OWN Twitch channel, you can do so by signing in to FrankerFaceZ using your Twitch credentials and authorizing your Twitch account. Next, you can head over to the emote list and add 4Weird to your Twitch channel.

Afterward, your viewers will then be able to use the 4Weird emote on your Twitch channel and they will be able to see it if they have FrankerFaceZ/BTTV installed as a browser extension (which the majority does already anyway).
