What microphone does Hiko use?

Hiko uses the Shure SM7B microphone

The microphone you see in the bottom-left of Hiko’s facecam is the coveted Shure SM7B. I say coveted because the majority of top streamers use this microphone. And not just streamers, it is popular amongst podcasters and YouTubers as well.

You can’t go wrong with this microphone. Not only does it look sleek and timeless (can you tell its design is from 1973?) but it is also a proven product that has stood the test of time.

This is a lifetime purchase reserved for the very top of Twitch streamers due to its high price point.

Hiko has his Shure SM7B hooked up to a Rode PSA1 microphone stand.

What mixer does Hiko use?

Hiko uses the Allen and Heath Qu-16 mixer

It’s impossible to use an XLR microphone such as the Shure SM7B without an Audio Interface. Most streamers use an affordable and easy-to-use GOXLR Mini for this job but not Hiko, Hiko uses a fancy Allen and Heath Qu-16 Audio Interface.

Just looking at this Interface gives me anxiety. So many buttons.

What mouse does Hiko use?

Hiko uses the Razer Deathadder V3 gaming mouse

The new Razer Deathadder V3 is a wireless gaming mouse that rivals the Logitech G Pro X Superlight. It falls in the featherweight category of wireless mice weighing just 64 grams. Furthermore, it has a 30K Focus Pro optical sensor, 5 programmable buttons, and a battery life of 90 hours.

It’s primarily the battery life that is impressive here, that’s 30 hours longer than the G Pro X battery life while Deathadder V3 is in the same price point. A true contender for one of the best gaming mice for FPS games at this moment. No wonder Hiko uses it as his daily driver.

What keyboard does Hiko use?

Hiko has the GMMK TKL keyboard with Blue Switches

This is the first hot-swappable RGB gaming keyboard on the market. According to Hiko’s Fossabot, his version comes with blue switches. Since these don’t come by default, Hiko likely bought the barebone version and installed the blue switches himself.

What headset does Hiko use?

Hiko uses the ASUS ROG Delta S headset

Hiko is sponsored by ASUS so obviously he has to use their products. The headset he currently wears is the ASUS ROG Delta S. This is a wireless headset with 7.1 surround sound, fast charging, and a USB-C connection in an ergonomic, lightweight package.

Compared to other gaming headsets in this price category, the ASUS ROG Delta S takes on a bolder look which I like.

What monitor does Hiko use?

Hiko uses the ASUS ROG XG27AQM gaming monitor

  • 27″
  • 270Hz
  • 2560X1440P

One core benefit of being sponsored by ASUS is that Hiko got his hands on the ASUS ROG XG27AQM gaming monitor. With a response time of 0.5ms and a refresh rate of 270Hz, this is a true contender for one of the top gaming monitors out there right now.

This 2k monitor has an IPS panel, HDR technology, G-Sync compatibility, and features ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync. Furthermore, it comes in an ergonomically designed stand to help you get the optimal viewing position.

What mousepad does Hiko use?

Hiko has the Artisan Ninja FX Raiden Extra Soft mousepad

You may or may not know this but Artisan Ninja mousepads have to be imported from Japan. They are extremely hard to come by and are thus very valuable in the US and EU. Having an Artisan Ninja mousepad as part of your stream setup is almost considered a status symbol at this point.

These mousepads are revered for their quality and considered by many to be the best gaming mousepads out there, even beating out the coveted Zowie G-SR.

What webcam does Hiko use?

Hiko uses a Sony Alpha a7 III as his facecam

  • Hiko uses the 24-70mm f/4 Lens

Hiko doesn’t use a webcam but instead uses a DSLR to provide his stream setup with a high-quality facecam. Using a DSLR as a webcam is nothing new as many top-tier streamers have adopted this strategy already.

Hiko uses the Sony Alpha a7 III in combination with the 24-70mm f/4 lens. Additionally, he uses an Elgato Camlink which is required to make the connection between DSLR and OBS possible.

What chair does Hiko sit on?

Hiko sits on a Herman Miller x Logitech G ‘Embody’ gaming chair

Hiko clearly cares about his long-term health as he has invested in a Herman Miller chair. And not just any Herman Miller chair, the Logitech X collaboration version.

The Herman Miller embody (both the gaming and original version) is very popular among streamers these days. It seems the top of Twitch and YouTube are leaving brands such as DXRacer and even Secretlab behind for more conventional and proven ergonomic chair brands such as Herman Miller.

The embody is a phenomenal chair but sadly I cannot afford it.
