WidePeepoHappy is a variant of the PeepoHappy emote, an emote based on the popular Pepe the frog meme.
The meaning of WidePeepoHappy is, as the name suggests, pure happiness. When the WidePeepoHappy emote is spammed in chat, the chat is expressing their childlike cheerfulness.
What is the origin of the WidePeepoHappy emote on Twitch?
The origin of WidePeepoHappy and PeepoHappy date back to the origins of Pepe The Frog and his presence in the Twitch community.
Pepe the Frog is an amphibian that was originally created by Matt Furie who first uploaded the frog in a comic to his MySpace in 2005. Afterwards, the frog was adopted by the 4chan community and by 2015, it was a global meme.
Around 2016, the MonkaS emote was uploaded to the BTTV and FFZ browser extensions, and 1 year later, the emote went viral.
From then on, Pepe the frog and Monka emotes became a common presence on just about every Twitch channel out there.
That same year, the PeepoHappy emote was created and uploaded to FrankerFaceZ and BetterTTV.
Due to the popularity of other Pepe the frog, and monka emotes on Twitch, it didn’t take long before the cheerful PeepoHappy emote was picked up by the Twitch community. When 9 months later the WidePeepoHappy emote was uploaded to FFZ by user Black__tic_tac on August 4th, 2018, the meme reached new horizons.
WidePeephappy became even more popular than its original emote because the extra width just adds more depth to how happy you really are. Also, WidePeepoHappy just sounds fun to say and has been widely adopted in Twitch slang.
According to Stream Elements, WidePeepoHappy has over 31 million+ uses. In comparison, PeepoHappy only has 8 million+ uses. WidePeepoHappy is the 33rd most-used FrankerFaceZ emote on Twitch.
How to use the WidePeepoHappy emote on Twitch
If you want to use WidePeepoHappy on Twitch, you will have to install the FrankerFaceZ browser extension. Otherwise, just text will pop up for you.
- Go to Frankerfacez.com select your browser and download the browser extension, you will then be able to see the WidePeepoHappy emote on supported Twitch channels.
- Alternatively, you can also go to BetterTTV.com and install this browser extension. On BetterTTV you can see FrankerFaceZ emotes as well. To enable these, head on over to chat settings on any Twitch chat and enable FrankerFaceZ emotes.
